Main Entrance Reopens June 18

Rome Health is reopening its renovated Main Entrance on North James Street Wednesday, June 18th, a milestone in the hospital’s $45.7 million capital improvement project to modernize surgical and critical care services. Expanded patient and visitor parking will also open at the Main Entrance, making it easier for the public to get to where they need to go without unnecessary walking or confusion.

On May 29, Rome Health celebrated a major milestone with a ceremonial ribbon cutting for its new Main Entrance, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and the Kaplan Center for Surgical Services. The event marked the nearing completion of Phase I of the hospital’s $45.7 million capital project to modernize surgical and critical care services. During the ceremony, the Rome Health Foundation proudly announced it had officially surpassed its $16.5 million fund-raising goal, thanks to the remarkable generosity and partnership of individuals, corporations, government, and foundations who believed in the vision for the future of healthcare in Rome.

Krislyn Flint, MD, FACOG is accepting appointments at Rome Health Obstetrics & Gynecology, providing patients continued access to gynecological care while she prepares to transition to her permanent office later this year. This temporary arrangement ensures a seamless experience for her current patients and opens the door for new patients to benefit from her compassionate, expert care. She will begin seeing patients Tuesday, June 17, at 1614 N. James St. A board certified gynecologist, Dr. Flint offers comprehensive gynecologic care for women of all ages, with a special focus on helping women navigate the transition from pre- to post-menopause.

Rome Health earns 5-star nursing home quality rating Named Best Nursing Home for Short-Term Rehab

Rome Health’s Residential Health Care Facility (RHCF) has earned the highest 5-star rating for quality measures from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), according to the latest data released on April 30. In addition, the RHCF has been recognized as a 2025 Best Nursing Home for Short-Term Rehabilitation by U.S. News & World Report. “Our team is deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care that enhances the quality of life for every resident we serve,” said Theresa Anne Bulone, MHA, LNHA, RN, Administrator of the RHCF. “This 5-star rating and Best Nursing Home award reflect the dedication, professionalism, and heart our staff brings to their work every day. We are proud to be recognized for our ongoing efforts to exceed national standards.”
