Rome Health Launches Volunteer Ambassador Program to Support Patients and Visitors with Reopening of Main Entrance
As Rome Health prepares to reopen its Main Entrance on North James Street, the hospital is calling on community members to be a volunteer ambassador to help patients and visitors navigate the campus with ease and confidence.
This program comes at a pivotal time as Rome Health opens the new ICU and Kaplan Center for Surgical Services and transitions to a more organized and service-specific layout, with designated entrances for specific care areas.
With these changes, volunteer ambassadors will play a critical role in reducing confusion and helping the public understand where to go for the services they need. Volunteer Ambassadors will be stationed at key locations to help guide patients and visitors to the correct entrance and explain these changes in a warm and approachable way.
"We’re looking for friendly, compassionate individuals to help us ensure a smooth and positive experience for everyone entering our doors," said Patient Experience Coordinator Allyson Daniello. “No healthcare experience is required—just bring a helpful attitude and a few hours of your time.”
“With the reopening of our Main Entrance and the implementation of new entrance designations, it’s more important than ever to provide clear guidance to our patients and visitors.”
Here's what’s new:
- Emergency Department Entrance – For emergency care services only. No public access to the main hospital from this entrance.
- Medical Center Entrance (Oak Street) – For office practice appointments at the Medical Center, including Primary Care, General Surgery, Bariatrics, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, and Sports Medicine. No public access to the main hospital from this entrance.
