Rome Health’s Residential Health Care Facility (RHCF) has earned the highest 5-star rating for quality measures from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), according to the latest data released on April 30. In addition, the RHCF has been recognized as a 2025 Best Nursing Home for Short-Term Rehabilitation by U.S. News & World Report.
“Our team is deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care that enhances the quality of life for every resident we serve,” said Theresa Anne Bulone, MHA, LNHA, RN, Administrator of the RHCF. “This 5-star rating and Best Nursing Home award reflect the dedication, professionalism, and heart our staff brings to their work every day. We are proud to be recognized for our ongoing efforts to exceed national standards.”
The prestigious 5-star CMS rating places the RHCF among the top 24% of skilled nursing facilities nationwide in quality of care. The CMS quality measures evaluate a wide range of clinical indicators related to residents’ health, physical function, and general well-being. In addition to the top score for quality, the facility received an above-average 4-star overall rating.
Rome Health’s RHCF has consistently earned national recognition from U.S. News & World Report, being named a Best Nursing Home for Short-Term Rehabilitation for six consecutive years. Only 16% of U.S. skilled-nursing facilities earned the “Best Nursing Home” designation this year.
For 2025, U.S. News rated more than 15,000 nursing homes on care, safety, infection rates, staffing and health inspections. For the first time, the Best Nursing Homes ratings feature a new measure on weekend staffing and another new measure on infection rates that led to hospitalizations.
“Choosing the right nursing home based on care needs and comfort is a critical decision for prospective residents and their families,” said Zach Adams, health data engineer at U.S. News. “The Best Nursing Homes ratings highlight nursing homes that excel in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care needs.”
Located on the third floor of Rome Health’s main campus, the 80-bed RHCF offers residents seamless access to hospital services and specialists when needed, supporting a more coordinated and responsive approach to care. The facility provides long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and respite care in a safe, healing environment.
