Evergreen and Rosewood Twigs hosted the Annual Spring Dinner of the Rome Twigs on April 17, 2024 at The Franklin Hotel. 11 Twig branches were represented at the event celebrating the Twig volunteer mission to the Rome community.
General Twig President, Joanne Lowery call the meeting to order and thank the members for their efforts in achieving another successful year of support activities. Special guest Ryan Thompson, Chief Operating Officer, thanked the Twigs for their outstanding service to Rome Health.
Guest speakers Chet DiBari III, Executive Director of the Rome Health Foundation and Martha Burke, Twig Gift Shop Coordinator, updated the group on recent operations in their respective areas.
The business agenda included the election of new officers; President: Stacey Davis, Vice President: Diane Butcher, Recording Secretary: Jackie Keyes, Corresponding Secretary: Nannette James, Treasurer: Elizabeth Stevens, Assistant Treasurer: Mary Carmel Wolf, and Scheduling Coordinator: Nancy Peak.
If you would like to learn more about the Rome Twigs and how they help support the Rome Community, they will be holding an Open House on May 15 at the Beeches Manor Pub starting at 5pm. Members of various Twigs will be available for anyone interested in joining or starting their own branch.
