At Rome Health, our goal is to provide timely, effective care for all patients. When appointments are missed or cancelled late, it limits access for other patients who may need care.
Effective May 1, 2026, the following fees may be charged for appointments that are not cancelled with adequate notice or if a patient fails to show up for an appointment. As these fees are not billed to any insurance company, patient accepts full responsibility to pay this fee. Arriving more than 15 minutes late to a scheduled appointment is considered a no show.
24-hours notice / $25 fee
For outpatient appointments, including, but not limited to:
• Primary Care office appointment (adult and pediatric)
• Specialty office appointment (Neurology, Pulmonology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Orthopedics, Surgery, Podiatry, Gastroenterology)
• Cardiopulmonary Services appointments
• Wound care appointment
• Medical imaging appointment (Note: MRI is assessed a $100 fee)
• Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy appointment.
7-days notice/ $100 fee
Procedures that require specialized staffing, preparation, or equipment, including, but not limited to
• Medical imaging procedures
• Cardiac testing
• Sleep study
• Endoscopy procedure
• Surgical procedure
Repeat Late Cancels | No Shows
• Should patient fail to show up for three (3) office appointments within a six (6) month period, Rome reserves the right to discharge patient from the practice.
• Should patient fail to show up for three (3) appointments for outpatient procedures, surgeries, therapy, testing and medical imaging, the patient must contact their provider to obtain a new order.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. Providing advance notice helps us offer that appointment time to another patient in need and ensures access to care for everyone in our community.
