  • Temporary Parking Changes

    Rome Health will implement temporary parking changes starting Monday, September 15, 2025, for approximately six weeks to accommodate construction. The parking lot between the new Main Entrance Parking Lot and Rome Health’s Main Parking Lot, accessible via North James Street, will be closed until mid-to-late November.

  • Rome Health Expands Surgical Robotics Program

    With the July 7 opening of the new Kaplan Center for Surgical Services, Rome Health has expanded its surgical robotics program to meet growing demand and enhance patient outcomes. The expansion includes the addition of a second da Vinci Xi™ Surgical System, which is now in use at the new facility. Rome Health offers a broad range of robotic-assisted procedures, including bariatric, colorectal, general surgery, gynecologic, thoracic and urological operations.

  • Rome Health Opens Kaplan Center for Surgical Services

    On the heels of opening its new Main Entrance and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Rome Health marked another transformative milestone Monday, July 7th with the opening of the Kaplan Center for Surgical Services. The new surgery center opened ahead of schedule, following final approval from the New York State Department of Health on July 3rd.

  • Rome Health Opens New ICU

    Rome Health received final approval from the New York State Department of Health to open its new 9-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) this morning, Wednesday, June 18, marking a major milestone in the hospital’s continued transformation of community-based healthcare.  All patients were successfully transitioned today from the hospital’s previous ICU—constructed in 1969—into the modern, purpose-built facility designed to support advanced critical care.   “Replacing our aging ICU was the next capital investment needed to ensure local access to high-quality critical care services for patients and their families,” said Rome Health President and Chief Executive Officer AnneMarie Czyz, RN, EdD. “We are incredibly grateful to the City of Rome and the generous donors whose support brought this vision to life. Together, we are delivering the best care out there—right here.”
