Rome Health receives $3 Million in ARPA Funds from the City of Rome

Rome Health administration officials met with Rome Mayor Jackie Izzo at Rome Health to receive a check for $3 million in ARPA funds for the new ICU that is going to be constructed at Rome Health.

Back in July of this year, the Rome Common Council approved the request to allocate $3 million to Rome Health to transform the way life-saving care is delivered to the Rome community.

Rome Health is focusing on community based healthcare to provide convenient access to the best care out there here. Receiving this money not only shows the community but investors as well the commitment the city has to its citizens about the kind of care they receive at Rome Health.

“We cannot thank Mayor Izzo enough for all that she has done for us here at Rome Health” said Ryan Thompson, Chief Operating Officer of Rome Health. “Mayor Izzo has been an amazing advocate for providing quality healthcare for the people of Rome.”

Preliminary construction work on the new 9-bed ICU along with the building of the new Kaplan Surgical Center has already begun. The whole project is planned to be completed by summer of 2026. You can find updates on the progress of the construction and if you would like to donate to the building of the new ICU a link for both is on the homepage of Rome Health’s website; ROMEHEALTH.ORG.
